Chronic Pain

Musculoskeletal Pain

After 30+ years, I can tell if your chronic musculoskeletal pain can diminish, and function improve.

Even if you have clear cut anatomical changes in your back or in other joints, usually partial or complete resolution is possible. If not, I will say so as soon as that becomes evident.

I can identify areas of dysfunction, often silent, that cause adaptations in function that lead to your symptoms. Osteopathy and Rolfing Structural Integration have proven themselves effective for this. Over 8 decades for Rolfing and now over 140 years for Osteopathy.

I will reduce tensions in pertinent areas affecting your syndrome and work toward stable resolution. I may show you movement maneuvers as homework.

Any acquired musculoskeletal problems are appropriate for Manual Manipulation therapy, either osteopathy or Rolfing.

Neuropathic Pain

This is due to pressure on a nerve, chemical toxicity in a nerve, or too much fight or flight activation.

Pressure impingements can be relieved, chemical detoxification is possible and the hypervigilance of unresolved traumas can be reduced or eliminated.

A history and physical is an essential starting point for a concise treatment plan. These stories are often complex, with many previous unsuccessful therapies.
